About Us

Paul Lake Resort is located on the western shore of Paul Lake, about six miles west of Perham, MN. It is owned and operated by the Wayne & Jenny Caughey family.

True To Our Roots

Established in 1956 by the George & Josephine Olson family, Paul Lake Resort has been hosting guests for nearly 70 years. From the start, we've been focused on providing a fun and memorable resort experience for families, friends, and newcomers to enjoy the natural beauty of Paul Lake and forge traditions that last a lifetime.

A New Beginning

Wayne & Jenny Caughey (Olson) purchased the resort and ran it until the early 2000s when rising water levels forced us to close. Not fun! But with that under control, we re-opened in 2017 as a seasonal operation with RV campsites and vacation rental cabins. It's been fantastic, thanks in large part to the nice folks that spend their seasons with us. We've learned that at a resort, property and location are important, but the people make it special.

Today at Paul Lake

Paul Lake Resort is a special place where you can make lifelong memories with family and friends. From the thrill of a good catch to the warmth of a lakeside campfire, it's a place you'll never forget.

We offer a quiet, laid-back environment away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.  Most of our guests are seasonal, so it feels more like a familiar neighborhood than a busy resort around here. Guests often comment on our large campsites, relaxed atmosphere, clear lake water, and abundance of loons, eagles, and other wildlife.

Vacation should be relaxing. That's why we handle all lawn care and provide free amenities like complimentary boat launching at our access, dock slips for your boat or pontoon, and free WiFi throughout the property.
